about

Heavy, dense, and epic, Disarray is a release series collecting long form tracks performed on a modular synthesizer. The first two editions, Sea and Sand, collect tracks recorded for or associated with pandemic-era streaming events. Ranging from dark ambient & textural drone to fast paced glitch & industrial, the tracks move between moments of steady calm and moments of melodic chaos.

A limited edition 2 CD set is available for the first two editions of Disarray, hand packaged and numbered, with linear notes printed on semitransparent vellum. Limited run of 20. The CD release includes download codes for both releases.

Disarray: Sea contains recordings as presented at various streaming events (Akin|Apart, Incendiary I) and a few tracks based on these event performances (Torrid, Coruscate, Unknown).

Disarray: Sand contains a grittier interpretation of this era of work, including alternate takes that are more visceral.

Special thanks to Franck Martin and Jonathan Fetzer (Resident), Korey Luna & Rich Hogben (Piqued), Karin Gavassa (Algoritmi), and Johno Wells (Modular World).
